It's the most wonderful time of the year... for the Garden Club holiday party.

GARDEN CLUB SUMMER SOLSTICE PARTY ON THE LOBBY PATIO

On the evening of June 22nd, the day of the 2013 summer solstice, the members of the River Terrace Garden Club hosted their annual event on the lobby patio. The evening’s weather was perfect, complete with a gorgeous sunset witnessed by the party’s forty attendees right from the patio. Of course there was lots of delicious food and wonderful beverages provided by the Garden Club’s members as well as by many friends of the Garden Club who stopped by for a fun evening of socializing.

Beautiful, inviting and years in development, the River Terrace Gardens are a welcome addition to the River Terrace property.

 RIVER TERRACE GARDEN CLUB’S MEETING IN THE PATIO GARDEN May 2011

  

 

 

 

Members of the club celebrated their accomplishments at their May 2011 meeting, held amidst the new flowering foliage in the lobby patio garden.

We will visit members' homes to view and learn about our plants and gardens. Photos of plants that anyone would like to share may be sent to this website for posting. 

We plan to have local walks through the Spuyten Duyvil Shorefront Park, Riverdale Park, and the Raoul Wallenberg Forest Preserve to learn about the local trees and flowers in our neighborhood.  We are seeking individuals with botanical knowledge to lead our group.

Let us hear from you about any of the above as well as your ideas about other activities that we might plan. 

We are planning more group visits to the New York Botanical Gardens and to our neighborhood's own Wave Hill.
